DeeAnn is the Communications and Public Relations Coordinator for The Lighthouse Supported Living. She comes to us via the University of Saskatchewan where she earned a degree in English and from Trinity Western University where she earned a degree in communications.  DeeAnn has also completed the Mental Health First Aid, ASIST Suicide Prevention Training and has taken the Saskatoon Police’s training on Crime Free Multi Unit Housing.

DeeAnn heads the fundraising team at the Lighthouse, and helped coordinated the Up Capital Campaign throughout 2013. She is especially proud of the success of this year’s Coldest Night of the Year walk which raised over $52,000 and the Amazing Race – Lighthouse Edition which raised $26,727. Outside of handling media requests, grant writing, communications and social media duties at the Lighthouse, DeeAnn is also involved in the Plan to End Homelessness and Poverty Awareness Week where she has been an advocate for The Lighthouse and its residents.

DeeAnn is a proud recipient of the 2014 Future 40 award from CBC Saskatchewan for Community Leadership. She is active in her community association, and on the board of Nuit Blanche Saskatoon and Sum Theatre. In February of 2014 DeeAnn and her husband, Jules produced a theatre show, Love/Stories, Or but you will get used to it with over 500 people attending the run. DeeAnn is also proud to serve as Sponsorship Chair with IABC Saskatoon.
