DeeAnn Mercier

Director of Communications


DeeAnn is the Communications and Public Relations Coordinator for The Lighthouse Supported Living. She comes to us via the University of Saskatchewan where she earned a degree in English and from Trinity Western University where she earned a degree in communications.  DeeAnn has also completed the Mental Health First Aid, ASIST Suicide Prevention Training and has taken the Saskatoon Police’s training on Crime Free Multi Unit Housing.

DeeAnn heads the fundraising team at the Lighthouse, and helped coordinated the Up Capital Campaign throughout 2013. She is especially proud of the success of this year’s Coldest Night of the Year walk which raised over $52,000. Outside of handling media requests, grant writing, communications and social media duties at the Lighthouse, DeeAnn has been involved in the Food Basket Challenge and the Hike the Food Desert campaign where she has been an advocate for The Lighthouse and its residents.

She is active in her community association, and is a board member with IABC Saskatoon.
