Supported Housing Programs at The Lighthouse
The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) continues to demonstrate their confidence in The Lighthouse to care for very vulnerable people. SHA provides annual funding to The Lighthouse to provide housing and person-centred support for over 40 people as they are discharged from a hospital stay like The Irene & Leslie Dubé Centre for Mental Health or Saskatchewan Hospital.
At The Lighthouse they have a place to call home, with access to caring mental health support staff as they convalesce. Based on their unique needs, residents are placed in one of the following programs of support:
- Compass
- Complex Needs
- Managed Alcohol Program (MAP)
- Next Steps – Located in community housing
Anchor Program
Thanks to funding from the Government of Saskatchewan’s Community Living Service Delivery (CLSD), The Lighthouse Anchor Program provides housing and person-centred, one-on-one support for people with an intellectual disability who are at risk of losing their home.
Other Supported Housing
The Lighthouse also provides housing and person-centred supports to other people living on our campus and in our community houses (who are not involved in the above programs) so they can live their best life.
